I SEE DROGBA IN HIM –ITALIANO

Spezia manager VicenzoItaliano has drawn comparison between Premier League legend Didier Drogba and one of his players. Spezia striker M’balaNzola is attracting the interest of some Premier League teams in this current January transfer window. In a chat with Italian news portal Tuttosport, the Spezia managed likened M’balaNzola to Didier Drogba. Italianowhile describing his striker said that he has a hint of the young Didier Drogba.

M’balaNzola, 24, has been attracting the interest of Premier League teams like West Ham United and Newcastle United as clubs in the English top flight have done little or no transfer business. West Ham United need another striker after French born Ivorian international Sebastien Haller was allowed to leave the club for Ajax Amsterdam in a deal reported to be over 20 million Euros.

Haller has started his career well in the Dutch Eredivisie after netting in each of his two games. For Newcastle United, they are struggling to score goals and that has led to a poor run of results. The Magpies are enduring their worst run of results since current boss Steve Bruce took charge of the team around two years ago. Steve Bruce was the replacement named for fan favourite Rafael Benitez. Newcastle United have found the back of the net once from open play in the last six games.

Spezia striker M’balaNzola is one of the breakout stars in Europe this season according to Italian outlet Calciomercato after he hit eight goals in his last nine games for his team but the player doesn’t see himself in the mould of Didier Drogba like his manager said. In a chat with DAZN, Nzola likened himself to another Italian Serie A player. The player says his style is similar to that of Inter Milan striker RomeluLukakudue to his combo of pace, power and lethal finishing.
